Understanding your VPS

By Tim in Webfusion

If you’ve made the move to a Webfusion Windows or Linux VPS then the chances are you at least know the basics of your Virtual Private Server but from talking to our customers, we’ve found many people don’t know the full potential of their VPS and what their Webfusion VPS offers them.

That’s why our support team have been hard at work creating a new range of downloadable guides specifically for our latest VPS range including understanding and using Plesk 10.

Our Getting Started with your VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide is the perfect starter and whatever your knowledge is a great reference to have to hand at all times. Understanding some of the customisation features is covered in Configuration guide for VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) including how to change your hostname and how to add a DNS record to your VPS. The Hosting on your VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide has everything you may need in a step-by-step from creating accounts and managing them to installing an SSL certificate.

For the more advanced users and those wanting to make the most of their VPS we have even more new guides guiding you every step of the way. Databases guide for VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide provides information on adding new databases and users, as well as information on phpMyadmin. Meanwhile, the Setting backups on your VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide gives essential guidance on using the backup functions in Plesk, essential in ensuring your business data is always protected. We also now have specific guides such as Linux on your VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide and Windows on your VPS 3.0 (Plesk 10) Guide.

We are constantly adding to and reviewing our support centre in our strive to help make our customers’ experience better. We have much more planned and in the pipeline but if there is something you particularly want us to help with information on let us know. If you login to the Webfusion support centre  you can send any suggestions direct to our support team and we’ll take a look.

In the meantime, enjoy our existing content and hopefully use them to maximise your knowledge and products.
